Specimen Requirement
Patient preparation: patient should not be on any steroid, ACTH, gonadotropin or estrogen medications, if possible, for at least 48 hours prior to collection.
Collect SST or red top, allow to clot for 30 minutes, then centrifuge. Send 3.0 mL serum (minimum 1.0 mL).
